The ‘golden cocktail’ for glass skin used by Kim K

It was made famous around the world when Kim Kardashian posted a video of herself having it on Twitter, in preparation for the 2018 MET Gala and now the Aqua Gold Treatment is finally available in the UK.

Containing an adaptable cocktail of neuromodulators, hyaluronic acid, vitamins and your choice of Botox and PRP, it promises a ‘glass skin’ effect. Naturally, I jumped at the chance of trying it myself, so I went to Skin and Sanctuary in east London, founded by Dr Saira Vasdev, to see if it was worth the hype.

Microbladed brows: All your questions answered

I was too scared to have my eyebrows microbladed for a long time. I was worried about being stuck with a shape or shade that didn’t look right and I just didn’t know very much about the microblading healing process (I mistakenly thought my eyebrows would completely scab over).

On reflection, this is a slightly ironic concern as it looks far more natural than doing them yourself ever could. As my brows are fairly thin and very uneven, I was the perfect candidate and I regret not doing it sooner.

Cut, keep growing or add extensions? Existential hair questions [gifts]

Short bob hairstyles have been a last-minute takeover trend of 2019, likely to continue into 2020 — and they’re really messing up my plan to grow my hair.

To help me decide whether to go for the chop or keep growing I thought I’d try out some clip-in extensions* to see if long hair would look as good as I pictured it to in my head. (SPOILER: It does).
