Have you heard of the new Time Out More Card? I got one this week and went down to BRWD Coffee in Oxford Street to try it out.
Time Out more is a perks card from what has to be the number one city guide around the world, not just for London but cities across the globe – if I’m going anyway, I look for it on Time Out first.
The card is just £2.50 each month and grants you all sorts of goodies such as free cocktails in bars, free drinks with dinners, free treats with your coffee, free sides or starters and more and more.
As well as that, it gives you a little VIP edge to eating and drinking in the capital by unlocking “secret dishes” and “menu upgrades” as well as giving you the chance to jump queues.
So anyway, in the midst of some manic holiday shopping this week in Oxford Street, I popped into BRWD Coffee with the promise of a free cake with a salad/sandwich and a hot drink.
I’m not drinking my beloved coffee at the moment, after despairing at the state of my teeth, so I had my first ever turmeric latte. It was much spicier than I expected, but delicious. I also had their carrot and buckwheat salad, with a herb and lemon dressing, with hit the spot.
Finally, my freebie, a slice of any cake of my choice. They had a few vegan options which I was almost tempted to test, but the carrot and orange cake was calling to me so I decided to indulge and I’m glad I did!
Next on my list is definitely Polpo, which has Venetian sharing plate I love, with the Time Out More Card I get a cheeky spriz on arrival for freeeee.
Others calling out to be are a free craft beer at Italian pizza restaurant Franco Manca, which everybody in the world seems to have been to but me, and the free Nutella pizza ring at Pizza Pilgrims looks like heaven…
